Motif Pricing Options

Project items are the separate files in a project, including documents, boards, story elements, and links. Folders do not count towards project item limits.

Motif offers a Free plan, which means you don't have to pay a monthly subscription fee for our basic writing platform. However, if you upgrade to our Pro plan after it launches, there will be a subscription fee for our advanced features.

Our Pro plan will be for writers who want advanced capabilities to help them outline, draft, worldbuild, research, revise, and publish their work. By pricing that plan with a subscription model, it means we can continually improve our product, keep your work safe in the cloud, and offer helpful new features.

You will be able to either stay on your Free plan or upgrade to the Pro plan to access more features and unlimited projects and project items.

Yes! You retain the copyright to anything you write in Motif.

Of course. We keep all writing private and secure in AWS cloud storage. That being said, Motif is still in beta and occasionally encounters a few bugs. If you ever experience an incident of lost work or other issues, please contact us immediately so we can fix it.

No. Motif currently does not offer any AI features and we do not train AI models with user’s writing. Your written work and account information is kept private per our Privacy Policy. 

While we may implement AI features at a future point, they would be fully-optional and require you to opt-in to use them. Your private data and written work would not be used to train or fine-tune the AI model. Your interactions would be treated as confidential and the data would not be repurposed for model training or shared with other entities.
